TOP 10 STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGIES: 2014

By our definition, strategic technologies are those relatively new technologies institutions will be spending the most time implementing, planning, and tracking in 2014. What are the top strategic technologies for higher education this year? Based on survey responses to how much time, active attention, and priority CIOs and IT leaders gave to 78 different technologies, EDUCAUSE has identified the top 10 strategic technologies for higher education.

The following list initially depicts the overall rank order of the 2014 top 10 strategic technologies. The Carnegie Classification, control, and FTE filters below can be used to customize the list to represent the top 10 technologies at a subset of institutions.
