Enterprise Technology as a Catalyst for Digital Transformation at Baylor

An EDUCAUSE Research Case Study

Abstract

At Baylor University, digital transformation (Dx) began with two enterprise systems: HR and finance. The systems that the university used for those two functions were outdated, inefficient, and unsustainable. The process of implementing new solutions was an important step for the institution on its Dx journey, showing how such a technology project can lead to real, measurable change, lessons that can be applied across many other dimensions of institutional culture and workforce.
