Campus Profile: Lansing Community College

Abstract

Lansing Community College (LCC) is the third largest community college in Michigan, offering more than 500 areas of study to over 18,000 students at its main facilities, and another 5,000 students at twenty-nine extension centers and a site in Otsu, Japan. This article describes the institution-wide, technology-related needs identified in a year-long strategic planning process, and how those needs have been addressed to date. Included with the article is a statement by LCC's president, Abel Sykes, about the reason for LCC's commitment to building information technology infrastructure.
