Abstract
One of the keys to a successful implementation of a Web-based library information system is an effective collaboration between campus library and information technology professionals -- a long-term commitment to the breakdown of organizational barriers, empowerment of individuals, and shared vision rather than protection of turf. This article provides an overview of two such implementations: at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and at Thomas Jefferson University.
