Abstract
This article is from a regular department in _CAUSE/EFFECT_ that reports on the activities of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), formed by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), CAUSE, and Educom. The author, chair of the CNI steering committee, looks back on the six-year history of the organization and also discusses some of the issues on the horizon.
