Abstract
Hartwick College, a liberal arts institution of 1,460 students, has integrated institutional planning and its planning for information resources, and this integration is enabling the College to achieve its other strategic goals. This paper focuses on the institutional and IT planning process at the College; what has been achieved; the roles of the president, senior administrators, and the CIO; and key components of the process that can be applied at any institution.
