The Indiana College Network: Information and Services for Distance Education Students via the Web

Abstract

The Indiana Partnership for Statewide Education, established by presidents of Indiana universities in 1993, aims to enhance cooperation and coordination among universities in the state for marketing distance education and providing student services. Among its results is "the Indiana College Network," the term under which the universities' distance education offerings in all forms may be marketed. This paper describes the overall concept of the partnership and considers its "business address" on the Web in terms of its design concept and its capabilities: searchable databases, interactive forms and surveys, and Real Video clips from classes.
