Abstract
Duke University takes information technology seriously, and that's evident through recent media attention and award recognition. The university has a top-notch network and Help Desk, and the Duke community is able to access the campus backbone through wireless Internet connections. The Office of Information Technology has close relationships with the university library and the Duke Medical Center Information Systems, and the CIO is advised by an inclusive, and effective, council.
