Abstract
Building architects have a well-developed set of concepts and procedures that help them define the problem to be solved, design a solution, and manage the implementation. Combined with systems analysis and technology planning techniques, these architectural methods provide very powerful tools for creating today's complex information environments. This paper develops basic architectural concepts and demonstrates how they can help create functional and supportable technology classrooms, extend the life of our technology investments, and create standard environments that are both effective and efficient.
