Development of a Responsive Decision Making Structure

Abstract

Keene State College adjusted its traditional decision-making processes to implement and sustain a new student information system. The paper gives an overview of the typical organizational culture of higher education and the practices of decision making by consensus. The current environment with partnerships with private industry requires faster-decision making. This paper outlines how Keene State used different teams, a new decision-making structure, and a communication plan to choose and implement a new information system.
