Abstract
Indiana University's Expanded Grade Context Record system received the 1998 CAUSE Award for Best Practices in Applications. The Expanded Grade Context Record system generates a student record that includes elements from a traditional transcript as well as additional elements that put individual grades into a broader context. This additional information includes index, grade distribution, instructor name, class GPA, average student GPA, and majors. The article also describes the development of the project components.The authors also presented on this topic at CUMREC '99.
