Abstract
This paper describes the University of Maryland's Web-based degree audit system, which was developed in-house. The authors explain the approach they took to building the system and some of the problems they encountered. The degree audit system has a three-tiered architecture, separating the data access layer, the business logic layer, and the presentation layer. The authors also provide a URL for visitors to try out the Audit System and other University of Maryland Web applications.
