Net@EDU Broadband Pricing Working Group: Phase II Vision Paper - January 2001

Abstract

After over a year in existence the Net@EDU Broadband Pricing Working Group (BPG) convened in Washington DC to review its progress and determine whether it should disband or continue to function. There is general consensus that the BPG can not directly influence broadband pricing models. While participants agreed that pricing would become a sub-component of access strategies, the BPG's national visions and goals have evolved to facilitating the deployment and availability of affordable advanced networks for education and research for the K-20 community. This vision paper is a guideline for the groups goals.
