Abstract
Assessment is a critical element in the design, initiation, and ongoing management of successful Web-based distance-learning programs, and one that is often overlooked. This Research Bulletin offers practical guidelines for evaluating Web-based distance-learning programs and highlights the comprehensive assessment processes in place at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Central Florida.
