Abstract
Libraries are built upon collections, services, and infrastructure. As digital libraries evolve, there is a danger of creating both collection and service silos. With the development of persistent repositories, libraries now possess the capability to build digital infrastructure with unbundled, modular systems and interfaces that will help deliver integrated services.
