Abstract
In the university information culture, security requirements and open access to information often conflict. While the community is likely to resist requirements imposed from "on high," using influence, sharing values and responsibility, and trading currencies can help overcome resistance and create opportunities on which successful outcomes are built. This session explores the experiences of George Mason University and Northeastern University in advancing the security agenda and delivering results through leveraging essential partnerships.
