Abstract
Provisioning is the automated life-cycle management of digital resources provided to members as they join or leave organizations and undergo changes in affiliation or status. Effective provisioning strategies reduce the burden on IT organizations by providing timely and secure access to an increasing multitude of digital resources. This case study will introduce Nexus, a provisioning system being developed at the University of Memphis, and will highlight the key requirements, challenges, and operational concerns of such systems.
