Abstract
This toolkit is issued by the University of Cambridge's GDPR Data Protection Working Group. It provides a checklist of actions for University Institutions (i.e. any academic Faculty or Department within one of the six Schools, as well as relevant Non-School Institutions) to take to implement the changes necessary to comply with new legislation (the General Data Protection Regulation,GDPR). This legislation comes into force on 25 May 2018 and it replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).
The University of Cambridge does not have staff resources to answer any queries or enter into discussion regarding the contents of this toolkit. The materials have been prepared only for internal use of the University of Cambridge and have not been prepared for the needs of any other institution. They are general guidance only.
