Jump Level Leadership: A Management Strategy at the University of Miami

Abstract

The University of Miami Information Resources department developed and instituted a program called "jump level leadership" in 1989 to open lines of communication between all of its hierarchical levels. Results of the ongoing program have included a free flow of ideas within the department, organizational changes, and happier, more effective employees.
