New Partnerships: Helping Faculty Integrate Information Technologies in the Curriculum - The Learning Technologies Program

Abstract

The Learning Technologies Program (LTP), sponsored by Cornell Information Technologies (CIT) and Apple Computer, Inc., during the 1991-1992 academic year -- was a series of workshops designed to help faculty integrate information technologies into their curriculum. The underlying premise of the LTP was that technology must be presented in the context of faculty's instructional objectives. We are currently pursuing "Train the Trainer" activities to help others be able to offer the LTP curriculum themselves. This session describes the goals and offerings of the Learning Technologies Program as well as the management of resources needed for implementation. Results will include feedback and case studies from faculty who participated throughout the year.
