Abstract
This article is the transcript of a speech delivered by Albert L. LeDuc at the 1993 CAUSE Annual Conference upon being presented the 1993 CAUSE ELITE Award for Exemplary Leadership and Information Technology Excellence. LeDuc outlines six "natural phenomena" that occur in the field of IT management in higher education, then shares some of his management values.
