Abstract
This paper provides information about the state of university information systems in Central and Eastern Europe. The authors share the results of a confidential survey they sent to universities in Central and Eastern Europe. The questionnaire had three parts: (1) basic information about the university, (2) description of the university network, (3) information about the applications used within the university's information system. This paper provides tables, graphs, and analysis about the universities' information systems. Information is given about common applications for student information, finances, library, and research, as well as information about operating systems, networks, application sources, and the implementation environment.
