Abstract
This presentation will provide an overview of three programs at Harvard University: The Digital Library Initiative, The Multi-Media Intel Grant, and the Provost's Fund for Innovation in Instructional Computing and Distance Learning. Each program provides innovation funding in the area of academic computing and has been a mechanism to build knowledge and to promote experimentation, innovation, and access to additional resources. Each model, although slightly different, has been successful in accelerating content development and enhancing pedagogy.
