Abstract
If you want to extend the uses of a low-threshold technology such as PowerPoint to make your presentations more dynamic, hold your students attention, and increase their level of interactivity, this session will get you started. We will demonstrate discipline-specific examples using video, audio, text, and images and show samples from presentations developed for courses currently taught in anatomy, religious studies and English that extend the traditional use of PowerPoint. The application of such theories as constructivism, convictional knowledge, and multiple intelligences to PowerPoint will be explored. We will provide handouts and answer technical questions as they are introduced.
