E-Authentication Initiative: Federal Single Sign-On

Abstract

The E-Authentication Initiative may soon offer campuses an easy-to-manage approach for providing faculty, students, staff, and alumni access to certain federal applications. However, before campus users can access these applications, the federal government will require participating institutions to meet minimum operational, process, and policy requirements. This session will discuss the federal levels of assurance, possible impacts on campuses, and why institutions should be following this initiative.
