Abstract
Because teachers are the most important school-based factor for student success, hiring matters. Hiring for mindset involves a performance-based experience, where current students and teachers have a strong voice in the selection process, and a candidate’s fit with school culture has at least equal weight with performance and content knowledge.
This innovation brief from Next Generation Learning Challenges (NGLC) is part of a series of briefs that describes tools and strategies from the NGLC network of breakthrough model grant recipients in both K-12 and higher education.
