Abstract
The Aspen Institute brought together a group of 35 current college and university presidents across the four sectors of higher education—community colleges, liberal arts colleges, research universities, and regional public universities. This group examined what will be needed to strengthen the presidential role in the coming decades. They identified necessary leadership skills and qualities and discussed how they could be developed.
The Aspen Institute, is a nonpartisan forum for values-based leadership and the exchange of ideas. Aspen Institute experts are leaders in their fields, bringing a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives all aimed at doing the most good for the greatest number of people.
