Developing an eLearning Strategy

Abstract

This session describes Seton Hall University's institutional experience in developing an eLearning strategy. Seton Hall's eLearning strategic model of parallel overlapping units (Information Technology Division and the Academic Affairs Division) will be contrasted with other eLearning strategic models that have chosen to organize around either (1) a single eLearning unit, or (2) an independent distance education division, or (3) exclusive use of outsourcing partnerships. Emphasis will be on determining an online campus infrastructure that can best support an effective eLearning environment.
