7 Things You Should Read About Faculty Digital Fluencies and Frameworks

Abstract

Digital fluency, as described in the 2014 NMC Horizon Report, refers to the ability to appropriately use technology tools to produce teaching materials, solve instructional problems, and transform existing pedagogies. This issue offers a framework and a toolset that can be used to support digital fluency initiatives for faculty. The "7 Things You Should Read About..." series from the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) provides a concise set of resources on emerging learning technologies meant to provide a quick understanding on the topic. You may find other ELI resources useful in addressing teaching, learning, and technology issues at your institution. To learn more, please visit the ELI publications page.
