Abstract
On March 14, 2025, EDUCAUSE joined with the American Council on Education (ACE) and nearly 30 other higher education associations in submitting a response to the Trump administration’s request for input regarding its proposed development of an “AI Action Plan” for the United States. The higher education comments proposed several ways in which the federal government could support the use of AI to advance student learning, institutional academic and administrative operations, and the nation’s workforce development while also avoiding privacy and security pitfalls. To support these points, the response cited many key findings from the 2025 EDUCAUSE AI Landscape Study.
