Abstract
Standardization of e-learning content requires us to look at interoperability, reuse, automated updating, and personalization issues. The object-oriented features of SCORM from the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative and MPEG-4 from ISO/MPEG illustrate the benefits of standardization. Understand how the standards-compliant composition and delivery of object-oriented content enhances the value of e-learning and the diversity of audiences reached.
