Abstract
The NMC Horizon Report Europe > 2014 Schools Edition was produced by the NMC in collaboration with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (EC DG EAC), the Joint Research Centre – Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS), Inholland University, QIN AS, and CellCove Ltd. The partnership’s goal for this major multiorganizational collaboration is that the key trends, challenges, and technological developments detailed here directly inform policy, leadership, and practice at all levels impacting European schools.
This report aims to help ministers, governing boards, and school leaders to strategically approach the further evolution of teaching, learning, and creative inquiry. Each topic has been carefully researched and framed in the context of its potential impact on the 28 European Union Member States’ primary and secondary schools. Throughout the report, references and links are made to more than 150 European publications, projects, and various policy initiatives from all over Europe.
