Abstract
This innovation brief from Next Generation Learning Challenges (NGLC) describes how Columbus State University’s (CSU) new Degreein3 (DN3) Program integrates learning support modules into its basic math course. The 100% online degree program uses prior learning assessments to allow proficient students to pass the pre-college-level math modules, and provides other students the opportunity to practice pre-college-level coursework in preparation for the credit-earning portion of the course.
The Next Gen Tools series of 2-page briefs describes tools and strategies used by the NGLC network of breakthrough model grant recipients, in both K-12 and higher education. The briefs are intended for practitioners within and outside of the network who wish to learn about emerging practices with an eye toward future implementation.
