The 2016 Enterprise Application Market report uses data from the Core Data Service to better understand how higher education institutions approach information systems that support advancement, email, grants management, room scheduling, human resources, IT service desk management, library, and web content management. Vendor market share and system rate of change are among the metrics highlighted. Data were derived from responses to the Information Systems and Applications module in the 2016 CDS survey. Responses from 530 U.S. institutions were analyzed. Campus case studies highlight opportunities and challenges encountered in the replacement or implementation of these systems.

Information Systems and Applications Data

Institutions that participate in the annual CDS survey and choose to complete the Information Systems and Applications module also have access to information systems and applications data through the CDS data portal, the self-service tool enabling institutions to create custom peer groups, view data in graphs and tables, download detailed reports, and look up responses to individual questions.
